K Dishcloth

I’m still knitting dishcloths!  This time I was inspired by all the monogrammed stuff I see in the shops.  I had some orange Peaches & Creme , and since my brother, Kyle, really loves orange, I started with K.  One down, twenty-five more to go!

Want to knit one for yourself?  The pattern’s after the jump!

  • 1 ball of kitchen cotton (I used Peaches & Creme 4 Ply Worsted Weight.)
  • Size US 7 straight or circular needles

Gauge—Don’t sweat it on this project.  Just match your needle size with your yarn to create a fabric that has a drape you like.

  1. Love this idea– I’ll make one for my dd and when you get to H I’ll make another for my DS.

  3. I feel pretty luck that my name starts with a K. I love making these. The only thing I’d change would be the border. I wish it was prettier, like the wedding washclothes on purl bee. Thought about trying to change it, but not up for it yet.

Still super excited to make this. Thanks for the pattern.

  4. Hi: I love your K dish cloth. You are truly talented to have done this without a pattern. I was wondering if you knew how to do other letters. I don’t have anyone with a letter K, but I would like to make one with the letter O. I actually thought I might make enough squares to make an afghan for my son. The O represents Ohio State University. Thanks for what help you can give me.

  6. I am looking for the monogrammed dishcloths, in the Alphabet, do you know where I can find them! I have googled and Binged all over the place and still can’t find a pattern.
