In the spring of 2010, I decided to undertake a project to design and knit monogram dishcloths because I really enjoy working with Peaches & Creme worsted weight yarn and wanted to see if I could make letters that looked enough like letters that other people recognized them as letters. I really meant just to design the patterns I needed for my friends and family, and I was going to knit them for Christmas gifts. Then I got an even crazier idea and decided to open a yarn, rug hooking, and basket weaving shop, so I had to work up ALL the letters of the alphabet because I also decided to carry Peaches & Creme in the shop. I had ready access to all the colors, so I might as well finish what I started, right? I got stalled around the seventh or eighth letter, and luckily, I have a really supportive mom who stepped in and helped me get finished. (THANKS, MOM!)
And now we’re all finished with the pattern writing, test knitting, photographing, and putting the finished patterns together. So, without further ado, I am pleased to present Starstruck Cat Design’s first line of patterns– Knitted Monogram Dishcloths. Happy Knitting!
